Davide Livermore is an Italian stage director, stage designer, wardrobe and lighting designer, singer, dancer, actor, scriptwriter, and teacher, with an outstanding 22-year career. From 2015 to 2017, he served as the manager-artistic director of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, where he directed some of the most successful performances, including La Bohème, Otello, and La forza del destino. Livermore has also been the artistic director of the Teatro Baretti in Turin since 2002, where he devoted his time to experimental music theatre and implemented a cultural policy based on social voluntary service, transforming a once dangerous and problematic district into a crucial meeting point in Turin. He has worked on the main stages of Europe and in his native country Italy, and outside Italy, he has worked in the USA, France, Japan, and South Korea. Livermore’s productions have been praised by critics and recognized by Musical America, which selected his production of I vespri Siciliani as one of the 10 best shows of 2011. He has also been nominated by International Opera Awards for a stage director award.
