Jean Bernard Thomas
Jean Bernard Thomas is a French tenor who comes from a family of opera lovers. Jean Bernard Thomas has performed on several national and international stages in Italy (Teatro alla Scala), France, Germany, Austria, Russia, United States and more. His repertoire includes the role of Rodolpho (La Bohème), Le Marquis de la Force (Les Dialogues des Carmélites), Macduff (Macbeth), Ismaël (Nabucco), Percy (Anna Bolena), Edgardo (Lucia de Lammermoor) and Alfredo (La Traviata) which he has played more than fifty times. He also participated in many operatoria such as Verdi’s Requiem, Mozart’s Requiem and the Messe solennelle by Rossini. At the head of the “Il Belcanto” association, he works to promote opera in the region through concerts supported by various patrons of Reunion Island. Since the creation of his company JBT Voice Master, he has taught vocal technique and the Art of Bel Canto to intermittent performers and he is regularly invited by the Paris Opera for advanced courses with the artists of the house in the part of their vocational training.
